Duke was laid to rest today, coin and Beret in hand. TACPs were there in force with Dale Spiller, Rick Pratt, Mike Keith and me (charlie Heidal) in attendance. Honor guard from Edwards was good with about 15 of LAs finest police there also (dukes brother is a cop). Bagpipes, Rifle Salute. [...] Dukes funeral will be at “Hollywood Forever” Cemetery on Thursday at 0900. Location is 6000 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Mr Christian Sheperd wrote an article that went to press in Jan 2008 in Tactical Life online magazine linked here. He is offering up the photos if anyone wants high resolution copies of them. He is sending me a CD so when it gets here I’ll post and link them to him so [...] David “Duke” Marmolejo passed away at approx 2120 hrs today. He was surrounded by family and friends. Eric Harris, Dale Spiller and I managed to visit with him for several hours regaling his family with stories of Dukes exploits. His family was there enforce and the care and love were a palpable feeling [...] David “Duke” Marmolejo has been listed as terminal with cancer. As some of you know he has been battling it since the early 90’s. Kicking it ass, then getting it some where else. This time its winning.
